Hub and Brake Drum

The two-piece hub and drum assembly consists of an axle hub and a brake drum which are machined separately, then assembled for final processing. The hub is made using FCD ductile iron and the brake drum is made using FC gray cast iron. JB’s premium products come with 5-year product warranty for any hub and drum applications.

We procure our axle beams from the leading manufacturers in the axle industry around the world such as Dana Corp. and Arvin Meritor in USA, SAF (Otto Sauer Achsenfabrik GmbH) in Germany, Arvin-Merritor, and IMT in Canada.

Using our state of the art facility located in South Korea, we dress them with our own hub and brake drums or 5-spoke wheel & brake drum that we manufacture in Korea.

Crewson Industries patented “AUTO-CHECK” stroke indicator is permanently mounted to the ABA. It shows both the correct setup angle and air chamber stroke without crawling under the vehicle. The ABA is correctly setup when the “AUTO-CHECK” stroke indicator points to the “HOME” position labeled on the ABA. It is also very simple to determine whether or not the ABA is operating properly by visually inspecting the movement of the “AUTO-CHECK” pointer. The air chamber stroke is within specified limits, and the ABA is operating properly as long as the stroke stays within the green area on the indicator. When the pointer strokes into the red area on the indicator, the ABA is out of adjustment and must be replaced.

When selecting a 1 1/2 inch Offset ABA, it is required to specify Left Hand or Right Hand. Left and right-hand are based upon the direction of offset. As shown in the diagram to the right, with the hex adjusting shaft and/or grease fitting facing you, a right-handed offset is required if the chamber push rod is offset to the right. The left-handed offset would then be required when the chamber push rod is offset to the left.

JB Brananne, Inc. offers Crewson ABA’s “Cam-Guard” which lets you keep the S-Cam spline fully lubricated when you grease the ABA. This specially designed spline gear has a groove in the center that allows grease to flow to the S-Cam spline, promoting longer life for the spline and the ABA. All Aftermarket kits come with a plastic hands-free installation template, clevis and clevis pin kits.

Crewson Industries patented “AUTO-CHECK” stroke indicator is permanently mounted to the ABA. It shows both the correct setup angle and air chamber stroke without crawling under the vehicle. The ABA is correctly setup when the “AUTO-CHECK” stroke indicator points to the “HOME” position labeled on the ABA. It is also very simple to determine whether or not the ABA is operating properly by visually inspecting the movement of the “AUTO-CHECK” pointer. The air chamber stroke is within specified limits, and the ABA is operating properly as long as the stroke stays within the green area on the indicator. When the pointer strokes into the red area on the indicator, the ABA is out of adjustment and must be replaced.
